In November 1992, three men are filming a volcano from their helicopter when suddenly the helicopter loses control and crashes. Trapped in the Puʻu ʻŌʻō crater of the Kilauea volcano and surrounded by unclimbable ridges and poisonous gases, they must send one of them to radio for help.
